I haven't blogged for almost two months. Yeah, I kind of forgot about this thing. :P
Summer is finally feeling like its here and I'm very excited. I really like my summer clothes a lot more than winter. Also, I dyed my hair lighter, but if you read this you probably already know that.
We did a big cleaning of the house before devin's mission talk in church/luncheon afterwards. We now have a fridge downstairs and a working couch and rug. I need to get more of my disney stuff out for the family room decorations. The other day Steve and I went to the DI to find disney stuff and I found a movie poster puzzle of the original beauty and the beast poster.
I started on it, but had to go to work meetings so Devin finished it. It has TWO pieces missing. TWO!! I realised there was a big risk of that since I did buy it at the DI, but come on! Its sooo perfect. Gah. I might just be creative with some cardboard and make my own pieces, but jeeze.
It was beauty and the beast day apparently because we also found a beauty and the beast teapot. You would expect Mrs. Pots right? Nope. This one looks like a large figurine of belle standing in front of the beast. The glass is fused together so they are essentially one connected unit. The beast has his hand on her hip I think and his other hand raised with a rose in it. Yeah...and in the raised hand there is a hole (the spout), his arm on her hip makes the handle loop, and his head comes completely off (the lid). How amusing is that?! I had to buy it of course. Sadly, I cannot find a picture of one online to post here. Maybe when I get home I will add one. It really is that hilarious.
Next I think I need to get something to represent Aladdin and The Little Mermaid. Those are also favorites of mine. Oh! and if anyone wants to help out on my peter pan puzzle, you're more than welcome to. In fact, I might even provide food to those who do since I am horrible at puzzles, but really would like this one done. :P
Back to the topic I was going to talk about, Devin's talk in church went really well. Good job Dev! Also it was really a lot of fun to see all of our friends and family who could make it. It made me really excited for our Hanson family reunion this summer and the Durtschi one that I think is happening this fall?
Yesterday my mom and I went to Color Me Mine....FINALLY! For my mom's birthday/mother's day gift back in 2008, I told her I'd take her. Well, scheduling never worked out and yesterday when I asked her what her plans were, she said the day was fairly open. Whatdoyahknow, mine was too so we decided to go. I went with a big bowl and my mom painted these three square plates that had kinda wavey edges. They are going to be so cute. Saturday I'll probably go pick them up.
Well, that is all from me today I think. Tomorrow I will try my hand at REAL golf for the first time EVER. I have some plaid pants, but am considering getting a hat to match. You know, the kind with the pom pom on top. :P ha yeah right.

FINALLY! I just keep watching and waiting. Glad you are back to posting. But I'm not really one to talk cause I suck at the blogging too.
thankyou for blogging you made my heart smile;)
Aaah you are at last turning to the tea side. >:) :P
Fruity teas hmmm....I'm actually quite finicky with fruit teas myself because they never really taste like the fruit they claim to be for me. I'm more thoroughly steeped (ha ha ha) in the black tea realm. But, for some tea suggestions....since you like the chamomile, vanilla and honey perhaps other chamomile based teas would be nice....such as just chamomile itself or Celestial Seasonings does one called Sleepytime (also 'Sleepytime Extra') which is quite nice. I have some fruit teas at home that I never really drink so if I remember perhaps I'll send a few. :) There's strawberry, cherry, wild berry...all those sorts of things (and maybe you could e-mail something for Christmas from a couple of years ago?? :P At least I think I remember you saying you had something for me once).
Some flower teas can be quite nice. You can find combinations such as rose and mango in proper tea shops. Mango may be another purely fruit one to try. I once got a packet of hibiscus flowers dried and it was suggested to steep them like tea, that was quite nice. Good earth does a sweet and spicey herbal tea (called that, essentially) that reminds me a bit of the taste of cinnamon hearts.
If you're not a fan of black teas because of the bitterness some chinese teas may be worth a shot....they tend to be a bit more mellow and mild in flavor. Mmmm, I feel like I just rambled quite a bit. That should do for now. And now I'll actually read your whole entry. :P
