...Just Kidding!

I've been cleaning out my itunes today because I realized that my hard drive consists of 99% music. I started looking through all the songs I had and re-realized that I have a lot of really good music. So here are some reviews of both artists I am clearing out/why and the ones I'm rediscovering are amazing.

Hayley Westenra

I got rid of about half of her album (Odyssey). Amazing voice, but I'm not really feeling it when she gets folky/slightly countryish. Her classical-type stuff is great though.

Personal favorite track: Never Saw Blue

Michael Buble

Okay, this is a tough one. Again, great voice, but when I first heard of him I got a TON of his music and, in turn, got sick of it really fast. Most of his stuff is also very similar so I would deem it all generally good background music. Its so hard to delete cause he's like the modern frank sinatra. Also, his christmas album is THE BEST. In the end, I deleted more than half of what I originally had, but I still have about 20ish songs of his.

Personal favorite track: You Belong to Me

The Strokes: First Impressions Of Earth

Now I loved these guys in highschool. This album that hit about the time I graduated was a let down though. :( None of it is really that bad, but the songs failed to really stick out to me that much like the previous albums had. So overall, I had high expectations that weren't met, but it was ok.

Personal favorite track: Heart in a Cage

The Features

Oh yes, I am about to go all indie blogger up in here. :P I promise it will not happen regularly, but this band is awesome. They are called The Features and have been around for a while, but have yet to become as popular as they deserve. I just ordered their most recent album online (sadly, I missed out on the vinyl :'( sad day!)
Here is one of my favorite songs:

Other songs I like right now include...
-Sweet about me (Gabriella Cilmi)
-Beating my heart (Jon McLaughlin)
-She don't use jelly (Flamming Lips)
-Welcome to the world (Kevin Rudolf)
-15 Step (Radiohead)
-Twilight omens (Franz Ferdinand) I'm going to their concert! Wewt!
